Le Petit Echo de la Mode – 7 Mars 1948

Here is the second oldest Le Petit Echo de la Mode that Mum bought for me. It is a little smellier than the others but I aim to keep them very safe so they don’t get damp or damaged. It must have been a time for buying flowers in the late 40’s, but only ladies with tiny waists could do it with style.
The 1948 French woman was not only stylish but she read John Keats’ poetry, and not just because he had a very pretty face, dreamy. Also nice to see a tiny article about Dame Nellie Melba in there too.
Oh to own these clothes, I’ll keep on dreaming.
